Team Expectations
Commitment. We are not about individual goals and assists but about making every Player better.
In order to do this, every player must come with a high level of commitment. School, illness and church are the only reasons for missing a team event. If you need to miss events for other reasons, this may not be the team for you. Every team event you attend, whether it be on ice or off, you must come with the commitment of making yourself and your teammates better. This team must come first. If you desire to play another sport during the course of the season, you must let the head coach know in advance of tryouts. If permitted, any
agreed-upon limitations that are set for the betterment of the team must be followed.
Playing Time. Playing time is earned. We believe in ‘Fair’, not ‘Equal’ playing time. Each shift you are on the ice it is because the coaches believe you are the best player to be on the ice in that situation. If you feel the lines should be rotated 1, 2, 3, this is not the team for you. All players will practice special teams situations, but some players will play more frequently in those situations.
